Why?

The question needs to be raised....why do I have a blog?

I'm so bad at updating....How long ago did I blog?2.5 months ago...that's shocking! Ok so settle in, here's an update.

1) Work is fine....a few minor issues but nothing I can't sort out IYKWIM.
2) Nath is great. Job is good.

3) Isobel is great. No more crying when we leave her at Day Care (yay). Toilet training all done, she is such a star. She's also moved rooms and is in love with her big bed and new room.

4) We went camping at Cumberland River (Lorne) for Easter. It was out first time camping as a family and whilst it was a bit of hard work, we had a great time, despite the zip on the tent (Dad's tent) busting on Saturday. So we are going to get a new tent with separate rooms, a new mattress (NOT a lilo) for us, a camp stretcher for Isy and a camp stove and we are going to try and go camping at least twice a year as a family. Great, cheap, relaxing holidays!

5)We are on the IVF train again. I won't be writing too much about it as it is such a long process and we are trying to not think about it all the time, let me just say it is going well, I have lost my mind, can't remember things at all, been quite silly but we are definitely on our way to having another baby. The next time I update this blog, hopefully I will be pregnant!

6) Scrapping wise, haven't done a lot! March I only did 4 LOs, no not in a week...in the whole month!!! April has been slightly better.....went to a crop with Bon's - did acouple of LOS there and I am hanging out for the CC over at Bon's this Tuesday, have some great photos to scrap and need a challenge or 2 or 3. Here's my latest stuff.

Have a great week....

An apology

Honesty is the Best policy!

I want to apologise to Christine Millar....my first ever published LO was in CP this week and I have to apologise to Christine as the work was not solely mine. I did not know that the LO she did for a class for Scrapping with CF was copyrighted and I thought that if I changed some of the work then it would be ok to publish the work.

I WAS WRONG!

I really didn't know I was doing something fraudulent and have written to CP to ask for a retraction to be printed as well as talking to Christine and apologising.

I feel absolutely awful about this and am preparing myself for the ramifications. I know that I may lose some scrapping friends over this but I need to post this apology to try and make things up to Christine.

from now on...

I'm going to blog every friday!

Life's good....Isy is happy, in a big bed now and toilet trained...Nath is very busy at work, but enjoying it and I am happy at SMF/TMF working 2 days a week and about to go back to uni next week.

Scrapping wise, I'm pacing myself, using up old stuff, not buying new stuff (except for Bon's kits of course) and happy with where I am at.

Here's some of my latest work...can't show y0u one LO though, it got snapped up by Creative Paper YESTERDAY:)

And of course here is the latest photo of Isy....I love it....taken by the very very talented Dannii Best of Kipindi Photography...check out her amazing work here

2009 - A new year

I have high hopes for 2009. For obvious reasons, 2008 was a shocker of a year for us - Nana's death, another ectopic and then the rollercoaster they call IVF, Nath's new job and the ups and downs of that (all is good now) and a few other little things that just added to the problems.

However, I must say that whilst I am glad to see the back end of 2008 I have learnt alot about myself, my marriage, my family as a result of all those trials. What an amazing husband I have and I am forever grateful for my fantastic marriage. I am truly blessed. Isy continues to show her resilience and resourcefulness, as well as how much of a delight she is to be around. I am in constant awe of her, she inspires me to be a better person every day.

So what will 2009 hold for us? We have deemed it "the year where things get done"....on our list are
*have a baby (or be well and truly pregnant by the end of the year)
*get the carport, driveway and fences done
They are the two main things, however we want to continue to make our family's happiness our number 1 priority. Other things don't matter as long as we continue to enjoy spending as much time together. That part should be easy, being around Isy is so much fun.

Scrapping wise, I am happy with where I am. Saying that I am applying to be on the DT at Scrapbook N' Bits. I love it there...

Oh I have other exciting news...Scrapbooking Creations are doing a piece on my "Artist in the Spotlight"....so stay tuned for when that will be out....I don't think till the 2nd half of the year.

We had a great time in Wollongong over the Xmas break and a lovely NYE. Here's 2 pages from the mini album I just did on our holiday.

I am starting back at SMF next week, permanent 2 days a week (Monday and Tuesday) and whilst I do have mixed feelings about it, I am truly happy about it...just anxious about a few things to do with home, uni, Isy, etc. But we will work it out.

Well that's it from me....hope your 2009 is a good one too!!!

Not long til Christmas!

Well it's December so of course that means 2 things
1) my birthday - 35 geez I'm getting old - had a fantastic day....got this amazing bracelet from Nath (thanks to Jodi for helping him out with the present).
2) christmas and our christmas phot shoot and putting up the tree.

Isy is getting into Christmas this year and had a ball with the photos....very impromptu...next year will dress her up and go all out!

Scrapping wise I haven't done much lately, been working on my christmas cards and haven't felt motivated till today do anything else....but I scrapped at Bon's today and did 2 pages (1 at her house and 1 later in the day).

All is good here...just getting ready for our long long drive to Wollongong :(

So busy...so much to do so little time!

Well the last 6 weeks have meant little scrapping (well less than usual LOL) and lots of uni work!

I did do a lot of scrapping for Bon's Game On...and I won (hehehe) Thanks Bon for my $30 prize! Here's some LOs from the Game On challenges...

Here's my 123 November LO. I know the photos aren't very scary but that's what I got when I asked for a scary face - too funny!

Here's Tam's sketch challenge for November....check out December Sketch at Bon's ...I will def be doing this one!

I'm loving my scrapping at the moment...

Here's some other stuff I've done lately...what do you think? Family news - not much...Isy is still very unhappy when we leave her at Day Care...but fine within 2 mins of us leaving. Don't what to do about this....and then there's the fact her ABC is under review so I may have to move her...will deal with this in the New Year.
